Deceitful Leadership Pertaining to the Second Amendment

Somehow the President of the United States apparently believes that the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution is actually a “limitation upon the people“ as opposed to a “limitation upon the government.”

“The Second Amendment, since the day it was passed, limited the type of people who could own a gun.and what type of weapon you could own.” President Joe Biden

“A well regulated militia, being necessary for the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” Second Amendment to the United States Constitution

The Second Amendment plainly states that the “security of a free state” (as opposed to a despotic state) is dependent on the existence of a “well regulated militia.” “Well regulated,” in the language of the time, meant “well trained” (ie. proficient in the use of arms). Therefore, due to this "necessity," the “right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.”

The Second Amendment is not difficult to understand. That it is misrepresented to the public by the media and political leaders alike demonstrates their underhanded deceptive motives.

Whether one likes it or not, an armed populace serves as a deterrent/preventative to despotic government.

We all know that an armed police officer or an armed guard serve as a deterrent/preventative to crime being committed near them. An armed German population in Nazi Germany would have served as a preventative/deterrent to the criminal abuses of Nazism.

It’s common sense.

For President Joe Biden to actually proclaim that the Second Amendment is a “limitation upon the people” as opposed to a “limitation upon government” clearly demonstrates how out of touch he is with both United States history and the nations philosophical underpinnings.

Despotic government does not easily co-exist with a population that has the ability to defend itself against despotism. That's a fact. The people of the United States disarm at their own peril for if liberty ceases in the United States it ceases for the world. There will be nowhere else for people to flee to and it is then that the mask of tyrants can really be removed. Once despotism is established it is very difficult and costly to remove.

It's important to realise that violence among a people is not the result of the particular weapons that they may have access to, rather it is a result of their morals and character, or lack thereof. Imagine if the President of the United States would address that factor as opposed to misrepresenting history in his attempt to disarm the population.

“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.“ John Adams to the Massachusetts Militia, 11 October, 1798
